Endurance 680-23

by Norris Comer

Although the Endurance 680 is not technically a new boat build (originally launched in 2012), it’s not too often a new hull is available right here in the Pacific Northwest. For those in the market for a luxury motoryacht, this Howard Apollonio-designed long-range cruiser might fit the bill.

The 70’8” length overall hull is comprised of a hand-laid solid fiberglass hull with additional layers of Cymax (Kevlar). There is even an extra layer of Kevlar in the forward “collision zone” for added strength. The deck, deckhouse, and flybridge are cored with a high-strength Divinycell foam. Bottom line, this beauty has brawns to match. The styling and lines have a look that’s both modern and traditional with nicely sheltered side decks on both port and starboard. They connect the covered cockpit aft all the way to the seating on the bow that’s integrated into the Portuguese bridge.

The eye is naturally drawn to that spacious flybridge up top. Under the hardtop is a complete helm station with wraparound seating for entertaining. Farther aft, a large open space with davit is perfect for the tender. The high railings are a plus for safety and also make the space an inviting, open hangout.

The interior is gorgeous, as one would expect on a luxury yacht of this tier, featuring custom Makore Cherry paneling and cabinetry with a shiny gloss. Granite countertops are found in the galley and even a granite floor that can be warmed with hydronic heating. There’s a total of four staterooms with four heads that include a master stateroom, VIP stateroom, a mid-guest stateroom, and crew quarters aft. The setup lends itself well to charter life or to crewed cruising.

This Endurance 680-23 is powered with twin 1,136-horsepower CAT C-18 diesel engines. The engine room is a generous size and insulated to reduce noise as much as possible. Typical reported cruising speeds for this model is between 8 and 14 knots with top speeds in the 19- to 21-knot range. Reported range is around 2,100 nautical miles.

A proper yacht like this has countless more bells and whistles than can be described in this brief profile. For the right owner in this tier of the market, this Endurance 680-23 might be the perfect match. If you’re curious, you can reach out to broker Hampton Yacht Group to learn more.
